Spoken River: A Benefit Supporting Spokane Riverkeeper
September 28, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$50.00Join us on Friday, September 28th for Spokane Riverkeeper’s second annual fundraiser SPOKEN RIVER. Once again you’ll be treated to authors giving readings of their works focused on the Spokane River. This year, our event will revolve around the newly published book the “The Spokane River.” The compendium of 28 essays and other literary contributions tells the story of the waterway from its origins in the Ice Age to contemporary efforts to protect the river. The book is the brainchild of Paul Lindholdt, who said he has been inspired by the river since moving to the region in the 1990’s and now enjoys kayaking on it.
Our readers will be writer and poet Paul Lindholdt, Margo Hill and Bob Bartlett. All three readers contributed chapters to the book Spokane River and lecture, and teach at Eastern Washington University.
You’ll also learn about our work at the Spokane Riverkeeper Program and hear about how you can get involved and support it the movement to protect your river..
Your individual ticket is $50 and includes dinner (fajita bar!) and 2 drink tickets for beer or wine.
Or… take your table-seating-destiny into your own hands: Your table purchase is $350 and includes 8 seats, dinner (fajita bar!), and 20 drink tickets for beer or wine.
