Fishing Etiquette

March 5 2019 • Chapter Meeting

6:00 – 7:00: Fishing Etiquette – Bridget Mayfield and Fishing Accessories – Carol Streit

Don’t get rocks thrown at you while you’re fishing! We’ll discuss how to wade a river, fish a lake and launch your boat while being respectful to others on the water. What fishing accessories are a must have and others that are nice to have? We’ll show you what’s in our gear bags.

7:00 – 8:30: Reardan FFA presents: Southern Resident Killer Whale Recovery

You’ll be impressed with this polished and knowledgeable presentation! The students make arguments integral to the recommendations set forth by the Southern Resident Killer Whale Task Force appointed by Governor Inslee and make arguments on both sides of this complex issue. Much of the argument centers on northwest salmon recovery efforts. The presentation is about 15 minutes long and afterwards, we ask that you question the students about the content of their presentation to test their depth of knowledge and soundness of their arguments.
