Aerial Mending Casting Practice w/ Heather Hodson
March 8 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Most of us practice casting a fly rod, but how often do we actually work on aerial mending?
Aerial mending is all about controlling the line in the air to set up a drag-free drift or to target specific spots. It’s a skill that can greatly improve your presentation and control in different water conditions.
On this casting practice day, we’ll cover the essentials of performing reach mends both upstream and downstream, as well as the techniques for wiggle mending and parachute mending.
This casting day is not a beginners day. It is designed for those with some casting experience who are familiar with creating a tight loop. It’s a group event, not a private lesson, so we’ll learn and practice together in a collaborative, hands-on setting.
