Jule Schultz7:00 – 8:00:  Guest Speaker: Spokane Riverkeeper
The Spokane River is plagued by pollution from Hangman Creek. In addition to nutrients and high water temperatures the creek also contains massive amounts of sediment. The sediment covers vital fish habitat and impacts the fish in the river.

The Spokane Riverkeeper partnered with Spokane Falls Trout Unlimited to study the water clarity of Hangman Creek and it’s impact on the Spokane River.  This TU Citizen Scientist partnership yielded great results both in the form of participation and the results from the study.  This talk will focus on the results and next steps as well as a brief summary of the issues that led to this.
See you there!
