5:30 PM RALLY AND SPEAKERS AT 245 W MAIN (in front of Luigi’s)
6:30 PM   SCREENING OF RED GOLD AT COMMUNITY BUILDING, 35 W Main Ave.

Sponsored by Spokane Falls TU, Wild Steelhead Coalition and Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition.

Join anglers, fishing guides, commercial fishermen, tribal members and river advocates for a rally, press conference and film screening in support of protecting Bristol Bay’s great salmon fishery from the proposed Pebble Mine. The Trump Administration has revived this terrible project despite strong opposition in Alaska and beyond. Pebble Mine Chairmain John Shively will speak at the Spokane’s Society of Mining Engineers meetng Tuesday at Luigi’s Restaurant at 245 W Main–the last day to submit public comment to EPA. We will have a respectful gathering and press conference on the sidewalk to let Mr. Shively know Spokane chooses wild salmon over gold. Then we will walk down to the Community Building at 35 W Main for a screening of Red Gold and a discussion on what citizens can do to stop this mine. Sponsors include Spokane Falls Trout Unlimited, Wild Steelhead Coalition and Save Our Wild Salmon.

Please:  Contact EPA and urge them to not revive Pebble Mine.  Go here:  http://standup.tu.org/save-bristol-bay
